Abstract:

‘Modilong’is a new deep green mid-season wax gourd cultivar，which is characterized by extra-long projectile-shaped. It is about 90 cm long，20 cm wide and 5–6 cm thickness，and almost smooth in fruit surface. Moreover，because of its hardiness，storage and high yield about 120–225 t · hm^-2，it is suitable for cultivating throughout the country，especially for Yangtze river basin area in spring and fall，and south vegetables to the north.
