Abstract: ‘Ganfeng Layu’is a new mid-maturing hot pepper hybrid. It has strong growth with compact plants. The fruit is horn shaped，and middle pungent with green skin and bright red skin in maturity. The fruit is 18.5 cm in length，3.3 cm in width，0.3 cm in flesh thick. The average fruit weight is 47.0 g. The vitamin C content is 0.73 mg · g-1. The dry matter content is 8.36% in fruits. The yield of fresh fruit is about 38–60 t · hm-2. It is resistant to diseases and tolerant to high hot-wet. Appropriate cultivation area is in the Yangtze River Valley for spring summer cultivation in open field and autumn delayed culture in greenhouse.
