Abstract: In this study, tomato seedlings raised in plug trays by the soilless method were used as a test material. Results of the simulation test and indoor measurements and analyses showed that seedlings, after being treated with a 0.04% fulvic acid solution by the folial spray method, in the 3 - 6 d storage and shipment period excelled significantly the untreated check in quality. In the same time, changes occurred accordingly in the physiology and endogenous hormones of the seedlings, with the differences all reaching the significance
level. Treating seedlings with fulvic acid could alleviate and retard to a certain extent the “stressive decay”of seedlings, hence maintaining the good quality of seedlings during storage and shipment.
