Abstract: Iris sanguinea‘Chun Xin’is a new cultivar selected from the natural hybrid progenies of Iris sanguinea. Plant height is 68 cm and stem height is 60 cm in blooming period，the crown width is 56–58 cm five years after planting. Each plant has 15–25 scapes，and the single scape has 2 or 3 flowers. Flower diameter is 9.8 cm. The flower is elegant，fresh，with type of compaction. Outer segment is violet and the edge is almost white，inner segment is nearly white. Style is white and the color on both sides of the central is almost lilac. Flowering is between June and July，fruiting is between September and October，and the continuous flowering is about 20 days. It’s suitable to open cultivation in northeast area of China，and it can be applied in the north of China.
